Sara Davies has revealed some of her go-to exercises for tackling ‘flabby arms’ following almost a year of strength training. The Dragons’ Den star usually varies her fitness regime weekly, but has disclosed several specific moves she’s carried out alongside her personal trainer.
Posting on Instagram yesterday, she said: “I got a lot of love for my flabby arms exercises and loads of people asked if I’d share more of my workouts, so here’s one that @east.fit.pt did with me last week. We usually do a new workout every week with compound movements that work opposing muscle groups.
“I’ll repeat that one a few times during the week, then we switch it up the next week.” The 41-year-old detailed how she completed six essential movements as part of a straightforward 20-minute session last week.
She kicked off with six offset squats on each leg, before moving on to 12 kettlebell deadlifts and 20 kettlebell swings. Following this, Sara tackled eight single-arm rows before finishing with some press-ups and ‘bear crawls’.
The final exercise simply involves moving across the floor on your hands and feet, mimicking the way a bear moves. Sara continued: “Bear in mind I’ve been doing strength training for almost a year now, so I’ve built up to some heavier weights, but just use whatever feels comfortable for you. This session takes me about 20 minutes.”
She then added: “These moves give you real bang for your buck as they work multiple muscle groups, build strength, and get your heart rate up too.”
If you’re short on time, Sara said it’s still worth starting the routine to see how much you can accomplish within a set period. “Consistency beats perfect every time,” she said.
Sara’s advice comes on the heels of her own lifestyle transformation, with the star now embracing a range of wholesome cooking and healthy living habits. As reported by the Mirror, she disclosed last year that her dress size had reduced from 16 to 12 after considerable weight loss, but has since stressed there is no ‘magic pill’ to attain it all overnight.
In the midst of this, the Dragons’ Den star recently issued a warning about fraudsters using her name to endorse ‘slimming pills’ in dubious social media scams.
Earlier this year, she said: “There are dozens of them going round and every day I’m hearing anecdotally from different friends, ‘So and so has asked me to get you to check with Sara if those slimming pills she’s invested in are any good’.
“Honestly, I’m devastated – the thought that people are getting scammed out of so much money, or worse, they could actually send for something and be ingesting some random pills when they don’t know what’s in them…. And people are doing it because they think I said it was good – it boils my blood!”
With this in mind, Sara previously advised her followers to be vigilant about any suspicious social media posts. If something ‘looks a bit fishy’, it probably is.
She continued: “I was always told – if it looks a bit fishy and smells a bit fishy it’s probably a scam and keep well away – so PLEASE – tell as many people as you can, share this post, tell your friends, can we just make sure everyone knows this is all a load of rubbish and a total scam.
“And I mean c’mon – some of this AI-generated imagery… it doesn’t even look like me! I’ll keep sharing my healthy eating nutrition recipes, my strength class exercises, and my running tips – all the stuff I’ve actually done to lose weight and tone up the last few years – because trust me there’s not a magic pill that will just do it for you!”
