Reading about weight loss stories of individuals is always inspiring and encouraging. A 31-year-old man from Manchester recently told a media publication what all he did to lose 95 kgs. Those who have lost weight or are trying to will tell you it’s not easy. It takes a lot of discipline and consistency.
Josiah Ojofeitimi, a father of two, embarked on the journey to lose all extra kilos when he had a moment of self-actualization. To buy snacks, he had to walk for 5 minutes late at night. The result? He experienced shortness of breath, back pain and sweating. What probably served as the final straw was when he ordered heavy-duty scales, but it showed an error message when he decided to weigh himself. This is when he decided to take stock of his health and course correct by losing weight.
From 4XL to XL: What all he did to lose weight
From slashing calories down, following a keto diet, walking daily, cycling to hitting the gym, he did all this and more to go from 4XL size to XL size. “I started moving my body more with walking and cycling. I started going to the gym in the morning and tracking my calories. Even when I’d lost seven stone, I was still a significant weight to be running, but I did two marathons this year. I go to the gym every day, but I still have birthday cake or chocolate at Christmas, and I have dessert if I’m out for dinner,” he shared.
His stance on why he would never take weight loss injections

In case, you’re thinking that he took some help from weight loss injections, well, that’s not the case at all. On weight loss injections, Ojofeitimi opined, “The easy thing to do is jab yourself, but they aren’t thinking about everything else, like the relationship with food. You want to be healthy as well as skinny. People see body confidence as a size 28 wearing a bikini. Good for her, but that shouldn’t be recognised as body positivity. It’s unhealthy.”
From not being able to draw inspiration to lose weight to now becoming a fitness coach and encouraging many others to become fit, Ojofeitimi’s journey is proof that you can achieve weight management goals if you set your mind to it. The one thing he tells his followers who are trying to lose weight is that if he can do it, so can others too.
