Henry Cavill has been hitting the gym.
In a recent Instagram post, Cavill, 42, shared several clips in a carousel of a recent workout. In the first photo, he’s showing off a six-pack while wearing a leg brace.
“Endure. In enduring, grow strong,” he captioned the post, quoting Dak’kon from the video game Planescape: Torment.
Cavill is currently recovering from a calf injury sustained while training for his role as Connor MacLeod in Amazon MGM’s Highlander remake. The injury caused production to be delayed until after the start of the year.

Though he doesn’t post often on social media, his last update before the most recent came on September 19, showing his leg propped up on a table, wrapped in what appeared to be an ankle bandage.
Since then, he’s working hard to rehab his injury, powering through a leg day workout. Check out the exercises he hit below.

Henry Cavill’s Leg Day Workout
Hanging Leg Raise
How to Do It

Grab a pullup bar with both hands, arms straight, and hang fully.

Slowly raise your legs in front of you until they are parallel to the floor.

Pause for a second at the top. Lower legs back down to the starting position.
Lying Hamstring Curl
How to Do It

Lie on the hamstring curl machine as instructed.

Position your legs so your heels are under the padded lever. Grab the handles.

Curl your legs, bringing your heels toward your glutes.

Lower your legs back to the start.
Leg Extension
How to Do It

Adjust the pad so it rests on your shins just above your ankles. Sit tall with your back against the pad and grip the handles.

Extend your legs until they are straight in front of you.

Lower your legs back down.
