McKinsey’s Future of Wellness report for 2025 states that: “Wellness is more important to consumers than ever. In the United States alone, we estimate that it represents more than $500 billion in annual spend, growing at 4 to 5 per cent each year.”
Among the different sectors, gut health is of rising focus among consumers, with the Global Wellness Institute highlighting the rising trend of what they call, ‘Trust Your Gut’, with gut health “one of the most powerful indicators of optimal health and wellbeing”.

Emily English, a BSC-qualified nutritionist, author and the founder of gut health supplement, Epetōme (from £54.99) says it is essential to support your gut when traveling: “Flying, routine changes, and new foods can unsettle digestion,” she says. “My tips are to start a high quality gut health supplement before you go and keep it up while away. A synbiotic, such as Epetōme, combines probiotics with the prebiotics that feed them. Your microbiome is as individual as a fingerprint and it is dynamic, changing with diet, sleep, stress, travel, and medication. Consistency with fibre and plants helps it stay resilient.”
She continues: “Travel is fun, but remember to build balance around it. Enjoy the local food and the late dinners, for instance. Balance comes from the small choices you stack through the day, not from saying no to everything. A good tip is to use breakfast to set the tone for the day, especially if dinner will be indulgent. My go to plate: protein through eggs, smoked salmon, high fibre bread (rye or seeded), three types of vegetable (such as tomatoes, cucumber, spinach). Then a side of live yoghurt with chia seeds and fruit. That fibre keeps you regular, supports your gut, and is the closest thing to a real detox.”

Emily English says it is essential to maintain a healthy routine when away.

Talking of routines, Emily English reminds travelers to create a routine when away for consistency. “Wake at a consistent time, get outside in the light, and anchor your day with habits that make you feel good,” she says. “I love an early morning workout or walk, either in the gym or outside. Walk the city, take the hotel stairs, do ten minutes of Pilates or mobility in your room.”
When it comes to diet, she also advises to remember a simple check list: “Have protein at each meal, at least one piece of fruit, two veg, a fibre source, two to three litres of fluids, depending on climate, and as many steps as the itinerary allows. Then relax and enjoy the rest.”

Hair Loving products help with hormonal changes.

Hair can often be negatively affected after long trips, causing dryness, brittleness and dullness. Hormonal changes also have a detrimental effect on the condition of hair. Nadia Hussain, hair stylist and former makeup artist, founded Hair Loving, a brand built to support women through menopause, postpartum changes, PCOS, and other hormonal shifts that affect hair healt, after she was diagnosed with early menopause at just 18.
“After experiencing hair struggles first hand, I truly understand the importance of caring for your hair, especially when traveling,” she says. “When you’re on the go, hair can become dehydrated, dry, brittle and lose its bounce. Hydration should be your number one priority. I recommend using a nourishing leave-in conditioner before your flight or a hydrating hair mist to refresh your strands throughout the journey. If you’re flying or spending lots of time outdoors, protecting your hair from heat and UV damage is crucial, consider a heat protectant spray or simply wearing a hat to shield your hair from harsh sun rays and drying cabin air.”
She adds: “Maintain your regular washing and conditioning routine with products designed to support your hair’s unique needs. My favourite is the Hair Loving Silk Renewal Shampoo and Conditioner set (£28), and try to do this the night before your trip. Concentrate on conditioning the lengths of your hair and then lock in the moisture with an oil or treatment.”

Also working to restore, regenerate and repair skin is Korean skincare brand, Rejuran. Already a cult name in Asia’s dermatology clinics, Rejuran is the first brand to harness c-PDRN®, a patented molecule born from medical science and clinically proven to regenerate skin at a cellular level. Dubbed ‘the body’s own reset button for the skin’, c-PDRN® is a pharmaceutical-grade ingredient shown to repair UV damage, smooth texture, restore hydration, and build long-term resilience. Rejuran Advanced c-PDRN® Turnover Ampoule ($52) is the brand’s hero anti-ageing serum, which also contains hydrating Hyaluronic Acid to support natural collagen production, improve skin texture, and boost moisture. Bestselling an affordable Australian skincare brand QV Skincare is known for its sensitive skincare products, such as the Intensive Ointment (£12.25) and Moisturising Cream (£14.99)—two real skin saviour’s that are ideal for use all over the body, especially on hands, knees, and elbows, when traveling.
Dr Fabrizio Spad, QV Skincare chief scientific & innovation officer, gives his travel tips: “The skin is our body’s largest organ and serves as a vital interface between us and the environment, regulating temperature and supporting our immune system. When travelling—especially during flights or in changing climates—the skin is exposed to dry air and environmental stressors that can quickly deplete its natural moisture. Keeping the skin properly hydrated is therefore essential to maintain its structure and function”
“QV Cream features a triple moisturising system—combining a humectant to drive moisture into the skin, an emollient to soften and smooth the skin, and an occlusive agent to seal hydration in. This creates a breathable protective layer that helps the skin retain moisture, even in challenging conditions like air travel. It’s especially great for winter travel, such as skiing.”
