In May 2025, fans of Lindsay Lohan couldn’t get over how happy and healthy she looked in an ‘80s-inspired ad for Old Navy activewear. Amid the campaign, the Mean Girls actress dished on all the ways she emphasizes fitness and wellness. Life & Style breaks down everything Lindsay has said about skincare, her workouts, dieting and more.
What Is Lindsay Lohan’s Skincare Routine?
Lindsay opened up about her skincare routine in an interview with Elle, revealing that she’s “crazy about [her] skin and health.”
“I drink this juice every morning. It’s like carrot, ginger, lemon, olive oil, apple. I also drink a lot of green tea, a lot of water. I’m a big pickled beets person, so I put them in almost everything. My skin care is very specific. I’m trying out some serums now that I’m doing — I’m testing them,” she explained. “Also, I’m a big believer in ice-cold water on your face when you wake up. I drink lemon juice a lot; I also put tons of chia seeds in my water. Eye patches, I do every morning. I’m into lasers.”
Lindsay explained that her skin changed and became more sensitive after she had her son, Luai, with husband Bader Shammas in 2023. She “did blood tests” to find out her allergies and changed her routine accordingly.
What Is Lindsay Lohan’s Fitness Routine?
In the Old Navy commercial, Lindsay could be seen wearing a red workout set and leg warmers as she instructed a Jane Fonda-esque aerobics class. While this isn’t the type of exercise Lindsay typically goes for, she does work out regularly.
“I love Pilates, and I mix it with a little CrossFit,” she told Bustle. “Depending on what I want to focus on, sometimes my trainer is tougher on me — which I like, but I’ll be like, ‘Oh, I have to leave early today.’ [Laughs.] She’s like, ‘No you don’t.’”
She continued, “But I love Pilates because it’s gentle but effective, and I prefer that. And strength training is important, because especially with age, you need to build strength more than anything. Aside from moving all the time with my son, which I consider a workout every day, Pilates is nice me-time to have.”
Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay said that exercise has become more important to her over the years.
“I feel like exercise wasn’t such a big thing in our generation — health and wellness weren’t as big as they are now,” she added. “But with time and as you age, you realize the importance of it and how great you feel, and I value that. I crave those endorphins, and I want to be able to keep up with my children. I don’t make excuses about it — it’s just become a ritual.”
Lindsay Lohan Shares Her Favorite Meals and Snacks
Lindsay opened up about her diet in an interview with EatingWell while promoting her May 2025 tea campaign with Pure Leaf.
Sharing her favorite snacks, the Parent Trap star said, “I love these little gluten-free thin crackers that I have. They’re just little circles and they’re really yummy. I always keep nuts with me just because it’s good for energy if I’m really hungry and on the go. Usually, it’s my son’s snacks that are in my bag, so sometimes I’ll have to have those. Luckily, he likes chips now, so we can share those. Mainly, I just keep mints with me if I’m just running out on my own.”
Meanwhile, she said she “always has a good go-to pasta” for dinner, or “a grilled chicken with a lemon sauce is always nice, and some rice or orzo is refreshing and filling.”
Describing what “eating well” meant to her, Lindsay explained that it “isn’t about filling up.”
“I like to eat something where I still feel light after. I can have a huge salad with a bunch of different variations of proteins in it, but I don’t feel too full after. I don’t feel like I need to take a nap,” she continued. “And also, I think the company that you eat with, you also eat well when you’re surrounded by people that you love and friends that you can laugh with, that also means eating well to me.”
Lindsay Lohan Emphasizes Wellness in Other Ways
Lindsay told Bustle that she also emphasizes self-care by doing “breathwork and mindful meditation.”
“I think it’s really important to ground myself before I start to get on a busy schedule,” she added.
Before she goes to bed, she likes to put on an eye mask and listen to white noise.
“But I think the most important thing is a clear mind. I put my phone down an hour before I go to sleep,” she explained. “Well, to be honest, it’s more like a half hour. But I try.”
