Jennifer Aniston’s favorite workout class is coming to a studio in San Antonio soon.
Pvolve is a fitness method that combines functional movements with resistance training. The process aims to strengthen the body while increasing mobility and stability, in order to provide a low-impact workout that specifically improves the life quality and longevity of women.
Rachel Neal found Pvolve after she was told to avoid high-intensity workouts after giving birth, according to a news release. Neil, who has over 16 years of experience in the restaurant industry, was inspired by her results to become involved in the business.
“Pvolve stood out to me because I noticed that it enhanced my daily life,” Neal said in the release. “I saw the potential that it has to transform how people live, work and play based on my own experience, and knew that I wanted to bring the brand to my community.”
Now, Neal is the owner of the Alamo Heights location. The new studio at 7959 Broadway St. #600 will open around late 2025 or early 2026.
Pvolve offers hybrid memberships, with options to stream over a thousand online classes, attend virtual studios or physical locations. No two classes are the same, its website said.
Pvolve, which was founded in 2017, gained popularity when actress Jennifer Aniston began backing the company in 2023. Aniston was inspired by a friend’s results to try the workout method, Aniston told PEOPLE.
In a workout culture that prioritizes long hours and the no-pain-no-gain mindset, Aniston said it was important to find workouts that were exciting, while being “kinder to our bodies.”
Aniston told PEOPLE, “If I had known about it 20 years ago when I was breaking my body to begin with, we would’ve saved so much pain.”
Using resistance bands and a proprietary pilates ball, the functional fitness style helps improve health and metabolism while preventing pain and injuries, its website said.
Pvolve is expanding throughout San Antonio and beyond, with over 50 locations in development. There are seven Texas studios, with the closest located in downtown Austin, offering 50-minute Strength and Sculpt classes throughout the day.
The new San Antonio studio will create 10 to 15 new jobs for the area, while providing San Antonians with a new workout style to try.
