Fitness trainer Mahesh Ghanekar, who often posts videos of Kareena training under his tutelage, talked to HT about what has been transpiring on the fitness front for the actor. He revealed how the actor gradually built her consistency and now focuses on weight training at least four times a week. The trainer said, “We train for an hour, sometimes more, and do 14–15 variations per session. It is all high-intensity interval training (HIIT), but she is fully present and ready to take on any challenge. That’s what makes it fun.”

Ghanekar further revealed that Kareena Kapoor has shed weight through a combination of weight training, intermittent fasting, and a healthy diet. “Her weight has dropped from 67.5 kgs to around 64 kgs. We are targeting another 2–3 kgs. Kareena has also reduced inches from her biceps and body in general. Weight training is working very well for her, and she can feel the strength growing.” The trainer added that he pushes Kareena a lot because he believes that the mind of the trainee needs to be challenged as well.

Kareena Kapoor has always been open about her fitness and has mentioned how she got rid of the “I want to lose weight” attitude. Her yoga trainer, Anushka Parwani, talked about how the actor is extremely aware of what her body needs and how much she can push it. She told ETimes, “There is so much to learn from her; she is so aware. She has always loved yoga, and she understands her body as well, so we know when to push a little, when to alter her workout, when to do variations, or the days when we just want to work on some breath work.”
