Ever wondered what ab workouts are needed to ski at the highest level? Wonder no more.

More Info on Lindsey Vonn’s Ab Workouts

Vonn, in the comments section below her post, provided some insight into the frequency of her ab workouts. She works her core four to five days a week, and each session lasts over an hour. When she does these workouts, they include around five of the ab exercises done three times each. Instead of counting reps, she maxes out.

Vonn, of course, isn’t a mere mortal—the average person might be laid up for a week if they followed her routine. She’s angling to appear in the upcoming 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, and when you’re competing on iced-up race courses, bulletproof abs are non-negotiable.

Vonn began her comeback last winter, finishing the World Cup season with two top-five finishes. She placed second in the final super-G race of the season in Sun Valley, Idaho, making a powerful statement: despite initially retiring in 2019, Vonn still had the talent and work ethic to land on the podium at ski racing’s highest level. With her second-place finish, she also became the oldest woman to podium in a World Cup race at age 40.

The upcoming World Cup season starts in Soelden, Austria, in October with a pair of giant slalom events, one for the men and one for the women. The Winter Olympics kick off in February 2026.
