Besides smartphones, tablets, and consumer electronics, Samsung also develops applications, and it has an app called Samsung Food. The app was previously called Whisk, and Samsung acquired it in 2019 and renamed it to Samsung Food in 2023. This gives you everything you need to plan meals, save recipes, organize grocery shopping, and more. The Samsung Food app is now getting an update that brings free calorie tracking for everyone. This should make it easier for users of the app to stay within the caloric limits they’ve set for themselves and base meals around those limits.

Samsung Food update offers free calorie tracking

The Samsung Food app’s calorie tracking feature was previously only available to those with a paid subscription. This update changes that, as it’s now available to everyone. With the latest 2.51.0 update, nutrition tracking is now free for everyone. Users can set their daily targets, including calories, fibre, and macro intake. They can now have more control over their diet for a healthier lifestyle.

Once you enable the feature, it will ask you to connect to your Samsung Health account to keep tabs on your workouts and see how many calories you burn every day. The app uses that data to offer you personalized recommendations.

Users can set their daily targets

The Samsung Food app will show your daily calorie intake goal and offer meal plans for every day. The recommended plan will reportedly include breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner meals. You can either add those meal plans to your calendar or change the recommended meals with other options from the app’s database.

The Samsung Food app offers meal recommendations and a step-by-step process to prepare those meals. You can also scan ingredients using the phone’s camera and purchase groceries right from the app. You can download the latest version of Samsung Food on your phone or tablet from the Google Play Store or the Galaxy Store.
