BISMARCK, N.D. (KVRR) — Sen. Kevin Cramer revealing on social media that he suffered a severe concussion, seizure and slight brain bleed on Sunday.
Cramer says he slipped on ice at his Bismarck home while walking down a hill to his dock and fell hard.
He says he didn’t remember anything from the fall until after arriving at Sanford Health with his wife, Kris.
Cramer’s wound was stapled shut and he was admitted for the night.
Doctors recomend rest and it’s unclear when he’ll be returning to Washington, D.C.
On Facebook he wrote that it’ll be day to day but he’s ready to return quickly if events require it.
Cramer also wrote, “Every day, Kris texts our family tips on how to care for our brains. She is a strong advocate for decisions which promote brain health. I need to pay more attention to her.I am grateful for her and the professionals at Sanford who take such good care of me. God is good!”
