Sutter Health’s leader says the health-care system is “doubling down in San Francisco and doubling down on brain health” with construction underway at its nearly half-a-billion-dollar neuroscience facility.
The nonprofit broke ground June 4 on a $442 million, 129,000-square-foot facility at its Mission Bernal campus, located at the corner of César Chávez and Valencia streets. Set to stand five stories tall, the complex will open in 2028 as Sutter Health aims to streamline and centralize care for conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and ALS.
