Spain to End Golden Visa Program for Real Estate

Spain will end its golden visa program for foreigners who invest more than €500,000 ($541,200) to buy a house in the country, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said Monday.

The government will study a report on the matter during its weekly cabinet meeting Tuesday, Sanchez said during an event in the southern region of Andalusia. About 94% of golden visas currently issued are for foreigners who make these type of investments, Sanchez said.
